SLS from Sonda SYS in the assumptions of the INDUSTRY 4.0 concept

Sonda SYS model SL01 is the first Polish fully industrial 3D printer, printing in SLS technology (selective sintering of powdered plastics). The R&D works on the device lasted over three years, and were made by specialists from the Solveere company well  on the polish 3D printing market company with huge knowledge and experience.

The machine’s official premiere took place during the largest and most prestigious additive technologies trade: Formnext , in Frankfurt am Main in 2017.


Sonda SYS SL01 is an open system, so it can work on any powders, including high temperature materials. In the basic version, the device has implemented powders from Evonik and Prodways, while the system’s openness also guarantees operations on other powders based on PA11 and PA12. In addition, the machine has a unique nitrogen atmosphere system (also in powder hoppers). Thanks to this, it is possible to use BASF PA6 powders that require additional gas cover – to eliminate hygroscopicity in storage and dosage of PA6 during the process. The device also has a raised thermal window enabling trouble-free operation.

The SLS 3D printer from Sonda SYS has the unique ability on the market of professional 3D printing devices to change the size of the building chamber – the smaller one, 250 x 250 x 350 mm, is ideal for prototyping, and the larger one – 350 x 350 x 600 mm – for short production series. Sonda SYS Co has patented its system of simple workspace configuration change.


The system has been equipped with the most advanced optical system that available on the global market, based on dynamic, 3-axis galvo together with the DMF optical correction system. To ensure the highest precision of printouts, all processes are digitally controlled. Digital optics and high-power laser allow for quick and precise sintering of the material. The applied DMF module (in contrast to the F-theta lens) allows to avoid optical distortion of the laser spot in the last phase of transferring energy to the powder surface, thanks to which it is perfectly round anywhere in the working chamber. Thus, it enables real-time device calibration.


The two sizes of working  chamber ensure easy and quick optimization of production costs. Using alternately  smaller or larger building size (depending on current production needs) gives savings in production time and powder losses.
Reduction of the powder losses is also the result the gas-insulated production zone. In addition, the system generating a protective atmosphere inside the working chamber and the innovative heating system of the chamber ensure safe operation of the device. A dedicated station for post-processing and models cleaning facilitates and speeds up post-processing of manufactured details.


SL01 3D printer is supported by dedicated software, that controls printing processes. It has been equipped with an intuitive and user-friendly interface. The software allows live preview of the process and print parameters. Innovative software architecture and a user-oriented interface allow the device to be operated by people without specialized training. In addition, it has Ethernet, USB connectors, also allows Wi-Fi connectivity also through mobile devices.


Sondasys SL01 is a complete system that is ready for production after just  installation. The price of the device includes a production unit, control unit, dedicated cleaning station, trolley, chiller and nitrogen generator.
