POWDERS

SondaSYS SL02 OPERATES WITH OPEN PRINTING PARAMETERS. 

SL02 SLS 3D printer model uses a wide range of standard PA11 and PA12 powders (pure or with composites). SL02 can reach up to 300°C so that it allows it to work with high-temperature materials, like PA6.


However, the biggest advantage of SLS devices with open parameters is that R&D departments and scientist institutes may test and develop their own powders, or just check some modifications, like using mixtures, additives, or composites.

POWDER STORAGE 

  • The powder should be stored indoors with a temperature of 25°C and humidity < 50%.
  • The powder should be stored in original shipping or clean stainless steel container.
  • Inorganic filler powder (ex. glass-filled) needs to be re-mixed after long-distance transportation
  • The re-mixed powder should be stored in an open container for EDS for 24 hours before being processed.

(1)The powder after laser sintering and cleaned parts.
(2) The collector powder.

RECYCLED POWDER
The sieved powder.

MIXED POWDER
New powder mixed with recycled powder in a specific ratio.

TRASH POWDER
(1) Powder produced by sandblasting.
(2) Powder recycled for 8 times.
(3) The remnant powder on the chamber platform.

NOTE: Mixed powder is the best for production.
